This is a class for people who play guitar, but want to expand their playing to include jazz style playing. The Group Guitar class is $195 for 8 weeks.
This class is for students that already play guitar at a minimum of an intermediate level, can play songs, single notes, and have a basic understanding of chords including basic barre chords.
The class will explore
• Understanding musical progressions, forms, patterns of jazz songs
• Playing Melody of songs
• How to play jazz style chords up and down the neck of the guitar
• Basic soloing concepts
The class will primarily use examples of songs from The Great American Songbook of jazz standards form the 1930s to the 1960s.
