The seeds of the Friendly Music Community were sown in 2007 with a simple yet powerful vision: to make music accessible and enjoyable for everyone. The Friendly Music Community gradually blossomed into a multifaceted experience destination driven by a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of music, art, mindfulness, and … well … coffee. Even in our early days, the focus is on the joy of creation and the connections forged through shared experiences within the Oak Park and Berwyn communities.

Responding to the diverse needs and interests of our community, we expanded beyond live events and music lessons to encompass a wider spectrum of communal, multimedia exploration. The Friendly Tap began as a vital space for live music and community gathering, becoming a beloved fixture of Berwyn nightlife. The Friendly School Of Folk Music expansion reflected our commitment to being a comprehensive musical resource to the community. The Friendly Community Room adds art openings, children’s workshops, mindfulness and yoga sessions, and intimate live performances. And our Friendly Lodging rentals provide comfortable overnight stays for travelers and locals to enjoy in the Oak Park and Berwyn area.
