Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 25th, as Friendly in Berwyn transforms into a classic Louisiana dancehall for an All-Day Cajun Festival! Co-hosted by local musician Jimmie Sit and Louisiana native Brandon Broussard, this community fais-do-do is the perfect summer celebration for lovers of traditional roots music, great food, and social dancing.

Schedule of Events:

  • Eat: Savor traditional Cajun dishes prepared by Lafayette native Brandon Broussard.

  • Learn: Discover the roots of the music and culture with an interactive presentation by Brandon, followed by step-by-step Cajun dance lessons.

  • Dance: Dance the night away to a premier, traditional live band featuring Charlie Terr (Accordion), Jimmie Sit (Fiddle/Vocals), Becky Bloom (Bass), and Monica Vachlon ('tit fer).

Whether you are a seasoned two-stepper or just want to experience incredible live roots music and amazing food, this all-day event offers a welcoming atmosphere for neighbors from Berwyn, Oak Park, and beyond.
