About the event
Every 4th Saturday @ The Friendly the Blue Lorraine Quartet hosts a different special guest to join them in celebration of The Friendly stage….
This month's guest:
Trevor McSpadden
His music incorporates styles of rock, folk, country, and more. McSpadden is proud to be a versatile artist, often using the motto: “Wherever, whenever, whatever."
Born in Amarillo and raised on the dancehall sounds of Central Texas, Trevor McSpadden developed a deep-rooted passion for the country music tradition. He cut his teeth as a songwriter and bandleader touring the roadhouses of the Texas Hill Country, captivated by the power of a live band to move couples across a hardwood dance floor. What began with learning the basics on his grandfather’s old guitar evolved into a dedicated career defined by the rhythm, soul, and historical resonance of the genre.
After moving to Chicago in 2005, Trevor discovered a surprisingly vibrant local country scene and quickly established himself as a mainstay of the city's music community. From leading his first Chicago band, The True Historians, to joining the legendary Hoyle Brothers in 2008, he has thrived as a singer-songwriter and compelling entertainer. Today, he continues to bring audiences together with his own blend of country-western, rhythm, and roots music, driven by the simple beauty of seeing an open dance floor fill with people night after night.
