About the event

Between Real & Remembered brings together the paintings of Rich Gabor and the photography of Jason Sherman in a shared exploration of how we see the world—both as it is, and as it feels. Gabor’s intuitive landscapes emerge from memory and imagination, while Sherman’s images capture the surprising beauty and quiet moments discovered in everyday life and travel.

Together, their work invites viewers to slow down, look closely, and step inside scenes that feel at once familiar and newly illuminated. This exhibition is an invitation to see the world anew through the artists’ distinct ways of noticing, interpreting, and remembering.

Rich Gabor is a self-taught painter who blends realism with intuitive color and imagination. Drawn into art through curiosity rather than training, he learned by studying the details of brushwork, light, and composition in galleries and museums. His landscapes invite viewers to pause, wander, and slip briefly into another world.

Jason Sherman is a photographer drawn to the quiet, surprising moments hidden in everyday life. After rediscovering the camera on travels through Europe and beyond, he follows light, angles, and instinct to capture scenes where beauty, chaos, and chance intersect. His work reveals the world as it looks when he’s truly paying attention.
