YOU DID IT, SOCIAL MEDIA WARRIORS!
You RAISED AWARENESS for the Friendly School of Folk Music! Spreading the word is crucial for us to grow and make a bigger impact on our community. It’s because of social media warriors like you that our awareness goal during #FriendlyGivingDay was achieved! We hope we can count on your continued support! On behalf of everyone at Friendly, THANK YOU! YOU DID IT, DONORS! You RAISED FUNDS for the Friendly School of Folk Music! All $5,000! This first #FriendlyGivingDay was a huge success, and it's because of donors like you! Between the wristband campaign, the Big Guys charity day, 50/50 raffle, Dance-a-thon sponsors, local financial support, and our online donations tab (whew!), our fund goal was met, and we can’t wait to roll out our new scholarship plans! On behalf of everyone at Friendly, THANK YOU! YOU DID IT, MUSICIANS and DANCERS! Wow! That pretty much sums up the reaction to all the music that was shared to benefit #FriendlyGivingDay. We appreciate Cheryl Tomblin and the many musicians who sacrificed their time and shared their talent. Because of you, a sense of COMMUNITY came shining through, and a celebration was experienced by all, especially the dancers who got their groove on all night long! Music makes a difference. Will you?
At the Friendly Music School, we believe that music education enriches people’s lives; however, we also understand the issue of fine arts budget cuts in traditional schools, as well as household budget cuts for our neighborhood residents. These realities make the FMS more essential than ever before. As a 501c3 organization that is evolving beyond our current means, we acknowledge our own need for support FROM the community in order to SERVE the community in which we live and grow. Music makes a difference. Will you? Evolution and fundraising go hand in hand, so this coming October, the Friendly Music School will host its inaugural #FriendlyGivingDay campaign with two goals in mind: (1) raise awareness of our existence and instructional excellence, and (2) raise $5,000 to help fund a sustainable student scholarship program, community outreach events, and free instrument rentals. Music makes a difference. Will you? This is an exciting time for the entire Friendly Music Community as we embark on a new level of awareness and music appreciation. We hope you'll support the school in one or more of the following ways: 1. Sign up as a committee or social media volunteer.
